Dr. Tracey Plante
Dr. Tracey Plante has been a proud Rosemount resident since 2009, living with her partner, Russ, and their pets: a black Labrador named Brando and a frog named Jalapeno. Originally from Cincinnati and a former San Diego resident, she loves staying local and enjoying Rosemount's restaurants, parks, and community events. She enjoys growing food for her family and spending time doing trash pick-ups in her neighborhood.

Experience and Background
With over 20 years of experience in education, Dr. Plante currently serves South Washington County Schools as a classroom teacher and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) site leader, and has also held roles as an Instructional Coach, Math Interventionist, and Equity Teacher Leader. She previously spent 12 years with Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District as a science specialist and AVID presenter.

​​Beyond her educational expertise, Dr. Plante has demonstrated strong leadership within her community, serving as Secretary for her homeowners association and stepping up as interim President when needed until a successor could be elected. She remains an engaged community advocate, actively supporting ISD 196 through strategic networking and fostering meaningful community partnerships.

Dr. Plante holds an Ed.D. in Education Leadership from Hamline University, a M.Ed. in Cross-Cultural Education from National University, and a B.A. in English from Hanover College. She's a Minnesota Education Policy Fellow with expertise in equity practices, data-driven interventions, and culturally responsive teaching.

As a systems thinker and transformational leader, Dr. Plante is committed to creating inclusive environments where all students thrive. Her combination of classroom experience, district leadership, and deep community connection makes her uniquely qualified to serve ISD 196 families.​
